Terms of Service
These terms are the agreement between you and Davie Carden LLC, Austin, Texas (“we”, “us”), the company that makes SayEdit. By creating an account or using SayEdit, you agree to them. Please also read our Privacy Policy.
What SayEdit is
SayEdit is an app that helps you write, film and edit short videos by chatting with it. It can write scripts, run a teleprompter while you film, transcribe your footage, and edit, caption and export videos when you ask.
SayEdit is new. Features will change, and some may be added, changed or removed over time.
Your account
- You can sign in with Apple, with Google, or with an email and password. Sign-in methods that share the same verified email belong to one account.
- Keep your sign-in details safe. You're responsible for what happens in your account.
- Give us a real email address you can access, so we can send codes and security notices.
- You must be at least [minimum age — Davie to confirm] to use SayEdit.
Your content
Your videos, audio, photos, documents, scripts and chats are yours. You keep all your rights to them.
So that SayEdit can work, you give us permission to store, copy, process, transcribe, edit and display your content, and to send it to the service providers named in our Privacy Policy, only to provide SayEdit to you. This permission ends when you delete the content or your account, except for copies we must keep for a short time to finish deleting them.
You're responsible for your content and for having the rights to everything in it, including music, logos, products and the people who appear in your videos. If you make sponsored or brand content, you're responsible for following the disclosure rules that apply to you.
AI edits
SayEdit uses AI to write scripts and make edits. AI can make mistakes: scripts may contain errors, and edits may cut or keep the wrong part. Please review every script and video before you publish it. You decide what to post.
Acceptable use
Don't use SayEdit to:
- break the law, or infringe anyone else's rights, including copyright, trademark and privacy;
- make content that sexually exploits children, threatens or harasses people, or impersonates someone to mislead;
- upload malware, or try to break, overload, probe or get around SayEdit's security or limits;
- access another person's account or data without permission;
- scrape, resell or copy SayEdit itself.
We may remove content or suspend accounts that break these rules.
Deleting your data or account
You can delete all your data, or your whole account, at any time from Settings > Account in the app. What gets deleted, and when, is explained in our Privacy Policy. Raw footage is deleted automatically 90 days after upload by default, so keep your own copy of anything you want to keep.
We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, or if we stop offering SayEdit. If we stop offering SayEdit, we'll try to give you notice so you can save your videos.
Other services
SayEdit works with services from other companies, such as Apple, Google and the app stores. Their own terms apply to your use of them.
Disclaimers
We work hard to keep SayEdit running well, but it is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the extent the law allows, we don't promise that it will always be available, error-free, or that your content will never be lost. Keep copies of anything important.
Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, Davie Carden LLC isn't liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for lost profits, data or goodwill, from your use of SayEdit. [liability cap — Davie to confirm]
Governing law

Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. We'll change the effective date above and, for significant changes, tell you in the app or by email. If you keep using SayEdit after a change, the new terms apply.
